Rules & How to Play

Everything you need to know about Ten of the Best — World Cup Edition

01

How to Play

  • Register for an account and pay the one-off £10 entry fee to get started.
  • World Cup fixtures will be available for you to predict throughout the tournament.
  • Submit your predicted scoreline for each fixture before kick-off of that match — late entries are not accepted.
  • Points are awarded based on the accuracy of your prediction.
  • The leaderboard updates automatically as results come in.
  • You can view all previous results, your predictions, and your score history in the Results section.
02

Scoring & Prizes

  • Scoring: Exact score (non-draw) = 4 pts • Exact score (draw) = 5 pts • Correct outcome = 1 pt • Incorrect = 0 pts.
  • Round winners: The player with the highest score in each round of the tournament wins 5% of the prize pot (6 rounds). In the event of a tie, the prize is split equally between tied players.
  • Overall prizes: 1st place = 25% • 2nd place = 15% • 3rd place = 10%.
  • Final placing is determined first by total score, then by points-per-game average. If players remain tied after both tiebreakers, those players split the combined prize total for the positions they occupy equally between them.
  • Any match that is abandoned or postponed will be excluded from scoring.
03

Cup Rules

  • The Cup is a knockout competition running in parallel with the main game.
  • Each round, players are drawn against one another. The player with the higher score for that round progresses to the next round.
  • In the event of a tied score, the player with the most correct scoreline predictions progresses. If still tied, the player whose total predicted goals are closest to the actual total goals scored progresses.
  • The draw for each round is made after the previous round's results have been finalised.
  • The Cup winner takes 15% of the prize pot.
